The layout of the hospital laboratory

1. The clinical laboratory should be located in the outpatient building, and should be a self-contained area. The area of the clinical laboratory of a tertiary hospital should be no less than 1200m2, and the area of the clinical laboratory of a second-class hospital should be no less than 800m2. If the laboratory is also responsible for more scientific research , Teaching tasks, the area should be increased appropriately.

2. The layout of the laboratory should be able to clearly separate the clean area and the semi-contaminated area. The areas should be separated by partitions. The clean area is mainly composed of changing rooms and offices, and the semi-contaminated area is mainly composed of reagent storage and water production. The contaminated area is mainly composed of blood collection rooms and testing laboratories.

3. The laboratory should separate the flow of people. There should be separate entrances and exits for personnel and objects, especially the sewage should have a dedicated exit, and should be sent to the hospital's centralized medical waste storage point through the hospital's sewage ladder. 4. In order to ensure the safety of the testing work, the biosafety laboratory should meet the requirements of the BSL-2 comparative laboratory. (4) The blood collection area should be a separate area. The length of the blood collection window should not be less than 1.2m, and the width of the blood collection window should be 45-60cm. The number of blood collection windows should be determined with reference to the daily average number of outpatient clinics, and the future development needs should be properly considered.

(5) The design of the biochemical zone should focus on biochemical machines. The replacement of biochemical machines is very fast. Contact the equipment manufacturer before designing to determine the location, specifications, weight, power, water consumption and other parameters of the equipment.

Requirements for clean equipment in hospital laboratory

1. Wall panels and ceiling materials are required to be easy to clean and disinfect, resistant to scrubbing, dust-free, non-cracking, smooth and waterproof. The commonly used material is double-sided sandwich color steel plate, and the fire rating is not less than flame-retardant B1.

4. Laboratory requirements for windows: It is not advisable to have an openable external window on the wall, but a closed observation window can be set.

5. The junction between the wall and the wall of the laboratory, the junction between the wall and the ground, and the junction between the wall and the ceiling should be treated with arcs.
